The “Popcorn” Goat Adventure

The “Popcorn” Goat Adventure

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY…SUNSHINE, LOLLIPOPS AND RAINBOWS…THE SONG GOES…         A day for five special little goats to come live in our…     Sunshine, Lollipop, and Rainbow land…       We traveled many miles to bring these special little goats back to their new home.   Heidi       Bambie       Anabelle       Pimbee (front) and Buttercup (back)       Little, Sweet Hearts on a new adventure. We arrived to pick them up in a horse trailer.   We had already anticipated that they would not be willing participants to get in the trailer to travel to their new home so we were ready for anything. We never expected what happened next…     Five little goats all in a line…all loving popcorn as their special treat to eat. We watched as the lady who had raised them carried a big bag of popcorn out to the field where they were playing.  Every goat’s head turned to see that a very special snack was in store from the paper bag. The little goats were in the present moment totally focused on the bag of popcorn…nothing else mattered…nothing else was noticed. We … Continue reading

“Adieu to Summer Blue”…It’s Time to Go…

“Adieu to Summer Blue”…It’s Time to Go…

Adieu, Summer Blue… Summer Blue here to let you know that it is that time of year now for me to say “goodbye” to all of you.   I wish you lots of fun in the upcoming Season of Autumn Gold’s run. My garden has been nurtured by the Summer Sun all season long and especially by all my friends’ song…Dove, Sunflower, Pigeon, Hossfly, Bunny Hop and Fish Flop.   We had so much fun as we watched all of our garden vegetables grow everyday in every way.  There are beans, cucumbers, radishes, squash, beets, onions, lettuce, carrots, turnips and cabbage…oh my gosh! We enjoyed the rain all the while and my blue waterfall…just being crazy and a little bit hip hazy-lazy🙂  We heard the owls whoooooooooooo…and the Dove gently coooooooooooo.  We sat near the garden under starlit skies…while my trees were lit with fireflies.     We also found new friends called little Gnomes…we welcomed them all into their Summer-Blue homes.       We added a new village with many a chicken…now all the vegetables here are ripe for the pickin’.       Three roosters that came say “Cockadoodle Doo“…that mean’s next summer I will be looking for YOU.   … Continue reading

Gnomes…Gnomes…and more Gnome Adventure

Gnomes…Gnomes…and more Gnome Adventure

The Gnomes are coming…the Gnomes are coming…actually they have already arrived.       First, Peter Whistle, the Gnome, came with Friendly Frog to live on our front porch.     As you still remember, if you read the adventure story, a double rainbow appeared in the sky right after their arrival.  Rainbows are definitely a sign of a special gift when the “bow shows” up here. I will tell you that we continue to have double rainbows to this day.   But, what I haven’t told you is that more and more Gnomes came and took their place near the garden, close to the Hoop House, and on the enclosed front porch.         All our plants immediately came alive and grew with the Gnome energy near them.    When I would stand in front of them to ask the Gnomes who they were…they, without a sound, told me their names…each after another until all had revealed who they were.   Crunch and Bunch stand at the entry to the Hoop House.   (Gnome Crunch on left and Gnome Bunch with blue paint on his nose on right)     Piper and Topper took their place by the mushroom table … Continue reading

Goodnight Willow

Goodnight Willow

Willow came to live in the little chicken village next to the Hoop House this summer.  She always loved people and especially a special little girl named Addie.     Before she came here to live by the Hoop House, she spent many long summer days with her friend, Addie, who would feed her special “hen treats”. They both would explore the backyard to look for all kinds of fun little Addabugs for Willow to eat.  They would run through a sprinkler and just have lots of fun in the warm sunshine. Willow, the Hen, loved people more than she liked her chicken friends.  Willow also liked to walk alone so she would often be seen off in a distance checking under trees and around the garden for things to eat. Willow did the most curious thing…she would say her name.  I had heard a rooster crow or a hen cackle but I never knew a chicken who could say her name.  Willow could.    She would look at me and say “Wi Wo”.  She was a very sweet hen.   Willow was our Hen House Caretaker’s favorite.  Willow would follow her for garden work as she gobbled up grubs and … Continue reading

Peter Whistle and Frog

Peter Whistle and Frog

One bright shiny day, a short but spry gentle Gnome came walking up to the Hoop House.   You might remember that Princess Water Lily and Chief Thumper live there.  They are still waiting for the special Dream Catcher to appear.             You might also remember that Chauncey Pig occasionally visits Water Lily and Thumper there.   I will write more about their adventures another time.      For now, I must tell you about my new Gnome-Friend.  He has white curly hair that falls all around his face so all you can see is his round nose peeking out that looks like a rosy peach.   He wears a red cap on the top of his head that even covers his eyes. I can tell you that he is a very kind and gentle Gnome. That day, I watched as the Gnome approached the front porch.  I wondered what he would do next.  Then, I saw that in one hand he held a wooden tub and the other hand was held by a Friendly Frog. Yes, the little Gnome had a Frog-friend in hand. They climbed the stairs finally … Continue reading
